To His Excellency Sir John Harvey K C.B. &c &c &c
Lieutenant Governor and Commander in Chief in
and over the Province of Nova Scotia and to the Charitable
and Human Therein
The petitioner of the undersigned most humbly and
respectfully Showth
That your petition although
of [illegible] appearance is never the less of such a
most consolidation as not to be Enablic to perfom
manual Labour Sufficient for the maintenance and
Support of himself and family
That petitioner has laboured under
Consumption for several years and that of failing
discourse only enable him at intervals to leave his
Wigwam for the purpose of asking and receiving
Charities from those who are disposed to dispense
that bounty to him &c Therefore pray that
with a liberal hand you will extend to him
such Relief as you may conceive a human
individual in his sphere of life further unto
and he will pray &c &c
