I know that the Chapel

state of repair - & that the Indians residing in _
Merigomish are [?really or very] needful _ But the distribution
of the least sum for their releif [relief] Should be
placed into the hand of [?veryry] [Judicious] character

Merigomish 11th June 1835

These may certify that the Indians of this part of the Province stand much in want of some pecuniary aid to assist them to finish their Chapel
[& clothing - written above so insert here]
which they pray for in the within Petition. I would recommend that the sum His Excellency would be pleased to appropriate for the said purpose. should be lodged with Hugh Denoon
Esq. to be by him distributed amongst them. upon the [?Certificate] of the inhabitants residing near to the chapel. that the work has been performed [illegible] if clothing in the like manner
