attention Peter Toney the bearer of
[this], he is the acknowledged Cheif [chief]
of the Mickmack tribe in this section
of the Province and is a Sober [?honest]
industrious [Man], Willing to do more for
his Breatheren [Brethren] than his strength or ability
will allow.

We therefore trust that
Your Excellency will appropriate a
liberal share of the money placed
at Your Excellencys disposal for
the relief of the Indians of [this]
