Annapolis 15 Oct. 1835
Sir
I beg leave to report that of the Five Pounds forwarded to me by desire of His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor for the purpose of providing seed Potatoes for the Indians I have expended Three Pounds Nineteen Shillings and Six pence.

To prevent the monies from being expended in a way different from its original intention I [issued] tickets to such Indians as I esteemed deserving for certain quantities of potatoes and have no doubt from the respectability of the persons who supplied them they have received every justice.

One of the Tickets for eight bushels I have not yet received for payment so that there remains in my hands the sum of One Pound and Six pence for distribution as His Excellency may desire.

Mi'kmaq recipients of tickets named.
