[to] [entruety] person in Annapolis by the [illegible]. It would be expensive to send them to me here at this [season]. It will be early enough in the Spring when navigation shall be open, either by Yarmouth or Sissiboo; but then there shall be [least] occasional need.

The Indians report to me in numbers at certain seasons old and young. If there be sick persons amongst them they [often] [illegible] [illegible] their camp near their Clergy; [In] [which] occurrences I am in need of assistance in their behalf. Food is not requisite for the country affords plenty of Potatoes. For [these] wants, I take the liberty to beg a [Suitable] Sum from His Excellency, Say Seven or eight pounds. Be so kind to [illegible] that [case] in behalf of the Indians, for [helplying] them in their wants is a burden above my circumstance, when repeated. I understand that the granted money is only for the most needy.
