[We?] the undersigned do Certify that the Rev. W. Lawler R. C. Clergyman, has attended the Indians of the Bras D'or Lake County Cape Breton at their Several Stations to their entire satisfaction and from my personal knowledge I every reason to beleive he has given them general Satisfaction in the manner he has instructed them, and the attention he has paid their morals as well as religious duties. In consequence I beg leave to recommend him to the attention of the Government of his Province for the Sum granted by the House of Assembly " to instruct the Indians of Cape Breton" Laurence Kavanagh [ illegible] Augt [7?] 1828
