Schooners: Workhorses of the Sea

Low Tide at Windsor, NS

Postcard showing schooners Westway and the J. Scott Ha---, three-masted schooners at "Nature's dry dock. If there is any work to be done on the hull of a schooner, let it dock at a pier at Windsor, Nova Scotia, and the outgoing tide will soon leave it high and dry for several hours. The same vessels can put to sea at high tide."
