Piers note: No. 359. Dockyard: Drill Ground, then recently completed about 1883. Inside of wall, between Victualling Stores and foot of North Street. Found when Observatory Hill (side of old Fort Coote), about 50' high, which was between it and the shore, was levelled in 1881 and 1882. Shows Wall, top of North Street Freight Sheds and Station, and Cameron Hotel at foot of North Street; Number 6 Store (No. 358) in distance; and top of first Grain Elevator in extreme distance at left. Looking South-southeast towards corner of Water and North Streets and from near Southeast end of Victualling Stores.
