Piers note: No. 304. Citadel: Ditch and Scarp (ironstone) of western Curtain and the Flank of Southwest Demi-bastion; with ensign flagstaff in distance. West Ravelin is just out of picture to right. Looking Southeast from flank of Northwest Demi-bastion. In Scarp of curtain, to left, are seen two gunports enfilading the west (?) ditch of the West Ravelin.
