"Sloop Mary — Again", False flags shown to lure prey to capture

Nova Scotia-New England trade persisted through the war, thanks to licences issued by Governor Sherbrooke, which supposedly exempted captains from seizure by Nova Scotian privateers. But use of the licences was steeped in deception and even fraud.
