Bliss writes with humour and great affection, "But now my dear, just come and sit down on my knee, and you may hug me to death if you want to not leave a breath in my bad old body. I will be punished, but I shall die happy... And please dear, for the old sake's sake, keep a little spot warm for your old Kelly until the swallows homeward fly, when he too may be able to get back under the old eaves... With best love to you and dear Ferry Hill, Always and always, Your Blisskins."
