Inscription on reverse reads, in part: "Coprinus atramentarius (edible.) The ink cap...usually grows in large clusters; [I] have found fifty or more packed together around an old apple-tree stump in our own garden. The cap is in form of an egg. Color silver grey, smoky brown, or ashen grey."
