Notes from Piers Accession Book: Apothecary's Balance, with brass standard, etc., and steel beam; mounted on mahogany base with drawer containing miscellaneous weights; of about 1850. It belonged to Dr. Alexander C. Page, a well-known physician of Truro, Colchester County, N.S., from about 1851 till his death about 1879. (continued...)
