States the settlers of this neighbourhood to be very apprehensive as to the disposition of the Indians towards them;- but gives no conclusive answer to any of the interrogatories in Judge Monks Letters. __

States " -- if their services should be wanted, they would cheerfully come forward"; - they are very poor; -- recommends sending them presents. __

There are no [answers] from the Districts of Canso, - Mines Bason [Mines Basin the original name of Minas Basin]; -- Cobequid, or Halifax. __ None of the [answers] mention the present residence, or arrival of any Foreign Emissaries. __ They all agree as to the indifference of the Indians, -- and the influence of their Priests, as the best clue for their cooperation. __
