I shall make a Return when I Come to Halifax or Probably Before, one Circumstance has been much in there favour this winter, the River has afforded them a quantity of smelts which they take by cuting a hole in the Ice and with a short line & hook, they draw up [?numbers], This Providential Relief never has happened Before this winter ~ nor known by any of the Inhabitants that those fish Resorted the Harbour in the winter season __
