The above [Meuphonis] Distributed amongst the, the head of [illegible]
are in the margin, Together with their squaw and children, agreable to this [illegible],
the Bread and old blankets , divided amongst the poorest squaws & Children, at
times when the mother was most sevear - potatoes Being so very [illegible] that
the quantity, Recommended by the Committee, could not be purchased the inhabitants
not having a sufficency for themselves, was obliged to seek [illegible] for them,
as much as I Can be informed and from my
own observations, the member of men woman & children (Indians), in the
Vicinitie of Antigonish, Pomquet & Trackedy [i.e. Tracadie], own one hundred & twenty six or thereabouts

four days gone, and one day at Pomquet, which
I think Reasonable, that the communities should
pay for this trouble.
