relative to their affairs, and advised them to apply for the appointment of a Commissioner, stating the advantages which the Indians of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia had derived from such appointments. They nominated two; the Honble Colonel Lane and Henry Palmer Esq whom Sir Henry Huntley immediately appointed, and I have every reason to believe that the much neglected portion of the Micmac Tribe residing in the Island will here after be better looked after.
I shall take the liberty of forwarding you my documents relating to Indian Affairs which may be published in New Brunswick and respectfully request the favour of your forwarding me such as may be published in Nova Scotia.
