Mi'kmaq Holdings Resource Guide

Letter from Abraham S. Harris of Pictou to Howe regarding earlier request for agricultural implements for the Mi'kmaq. In postscript, he says that any lands secured for the Mi'kmaq must have title so secured so that they cannot alienate the lands.

Honourable Sir
I am in receipt of your favour of the 13th September, only since the 30th ult.
The Crown lands adjoining this settlement lie to the North and East, those on the North are I believe of a very inferior quality with respect to soil. But with respect to the Crown lands which lie between the head of this settlement and the County of Pictou there is some reason for supposing that they contain some good tracts, it is the continuation of the ridge which separates Musquodoboit from
