From Hon. L.M. Wilkins 70d
respecting Windsor Indians
Windsor 8th. Dec'r. 1842
My dear Sir
I know not if the Assembly in their last Session voted any money for Indians, if they did there are several families in this neighbourhood who are suffering from cold and the want of blankets, and if you have any for them, I will be happy to distribute them. I am in great haste, as an Indian of the name of Joe Stephens, a sober industrious man, is waiting.
I am D. [Dear] Sir truly yours Lewis M. Wilkins
John Whidden Esq. & &
Three Blankets and three coats were sent.
