Mi'kmaq Holdings Resource Guide

Letter from Rev. G. Townshend of Amherst to Chearnley regarding the bearers of the letters. They are representatives of the Mi'kmaq in Minudie and on Parrsboro road on the way to Halifax for the annual dole of blankets. Also request cloth for the same Mi'kmaq.

My dear Sir_

The bearers are Indian Representatives about to visit Halifax to obtain their annual dole of blankets_ There are at Minudie & on the Parrsboro Road eleven or twelve families numbering forty-eight souls of which twenty nine are adults, the rest - young children - If you can get some strong white cloth to make some of the men coats it will be very acceptable. Pray exert yourself on their behalf it is a work of mercy
