Unsigned memo on stationary of the Provincial Secretary's office regarding the condition of the Mi'kmaq of Nova Scotia, apparently referring to earler recommendations regarding trespasses on Mi'kmaq land. 1858.

The Act relative to the Crown Land Department that the title to all lands reserved for Indians within this Province be and it is hereby declared to be vested in the Commissioner of Crown Lands whose duty it shall be to protect the rights of the Aborigines who are disposed to settle thereon.
