[?To or Dr] the Honble Provincial Secretary,

My dear Sir,

I was besieged today by the Indians, more
particular the "Squaws", for Blankets. As
the cold weather is coming upon them
and many of them truly destitute
has the money voted last year been
applied in the purchase, of Blankets
and If so, what has been done with
the proceeds, the Indians says they
have none this present year. Does
Capt Chearnley, as Indian Commissioner
apply the money and cause the
due proportion and to be sent to Each
Each County where there are Indians &
please afford me the required Information.

Yours Respectfully
Samuel Chipman
