Vide statement enclosed
Captain Chearnley applies to me to act under 11 Section - Cap 4 - of the Revised Statutes
I have also complaints from Mess: Crawley and Courteau of intrusions on the Wagamatcook, Whycocomah, and Margaree Reserves. On the first twenty Scotch families have built houses and cultivated. they were prosecuted by Mr Archibald when Attorney General, and ejected by the Sheriff, and immediately after returned and again took possession.
I must beg His Excellency to pay attention to the claims of these poor people and to give such order as may retain the lands set apart for them.
I think a Bill should be introduced and passed making it criminal to enclose the lands
