Sir
Her Majesty's Atty Genl.
having called my attention to the
state of the Indian Reserves, in
the Island of Cape Breton, which
are being intruded upon, by the Settlers
therein, and having suggested the
propriety, of ascertaing [ascertaining] the extent of
such trespasses, I do for the furtherance
of this object, request , that I
may be authorized to incur, such
expenses, as shall be found indispensable,
for the careful examination,
by the Principal Deputy Surveyer,
of the several lots of land, included
therein.
