My dear Sir,
Enclosed you have [illegible] for my faithful performance of the Office of Indian Commissioner I have drawn on receiver General for forty pounds as you directed Is the money to be Confined to the use of the Indians in the Counties of Cape Breton and Victoria or is a share of it to be given to the Indians at St. Peter's in the County of Richmond, my commission only Extends to these residing in Cape Breton & Victoria and is quite enough formed to attend to as W. Crawley do not Wish to take further trouble or responsibility in these matters,
