Dear Sir
Enclosed are Returns of Survey and warrants for [Messr] Gammell & Co. & with associates __

I am happy to hear that Sir [Peregrine?] is arrived; I hope with reestablised health __

His Excellency will have abundance of business to occupy his time and attention, but I hope he will have [illegible] to take into consideration the security of the [?landed] Property of our poor Indians; and I am persuaded you will not let slip a favorable occasion to bring the matter within the scope of his attention

I fear our [credit?] is something low in the [ estimation?] of our Mikmaks __ I should not be surprised if a [dissertation?] from the tribe found its way to Government House __ I think I suggested in a former note that an Island for a Chapel had been granted to [Tmotres?] for the benefit of the Indians __ Whether such a [security?] would be in the present case assist, I leave to be determined by others__

l am, with great regard
Dear Sir
yours sincerely
T. Crawley
