Quebec 12th May 1815.

Sir,

The Reverend M[onsigno]r [Plessis?], exercising the functions of Catholic Bishop in this Colony, proposing to make a tour of visitation, which will extend I fancy to Halifax. I beg leave to introduce him to Your Excellency's civilities, assured that Your Excellency will find him in every respect, worthy of the attention you may be pleased to shew him.
