Headlines, Halifax Herald, 31 May 1920: "Town's Entire 'Flat-Iron' District Swept by Flames. Forty-Seven Buildings Destroyed, Including Churches, High School, St. Bridget's Hall, Glebe and Rectory --- Driven by High Wind, the Fire Did Its Work With Appalling Suddenness".
