Contract of Thomas Neville to work at Sydney Mines

19 September 1844, Albion Mines. Neville contracts to work for the General Mining Association for at least three months. Henry Poole, Agent, agrees to the wages and conditions. Miners and their families often had to move from one mining town to another, depending upon where there was work.
