"Limestone quarry, Point Edward, Cape Breton"

"The Company [Nova Scotia Steel & Coal Co. Ltd.] obtain their flux from their limestone quarry at Point Edward, Cape Breton, situated about 17 miles from the furnace at Sydney Mines … This limestone was a very uniform and suitable stone for all purposes in steel making." Flux: a substance used to promote fusion when smelting ores.
