"Samson"

"The Samson locomotive of 1839 which ran in Pictou County, NS. Second locomotive to operate in Canada, passenger car attached to locomotive." Photo taken at Halethorpe Roundhouse, now the site of the Baltimore & Ohio (Railroad) Museum, Baltimore, MD. Likely a publicity shot taken during the B&O 'Fair of the Iron Horse', 1927. The coach is believed to date from 1840, used on the Albion line; it remains in Baltimore, on display at the B&O Museum.
