children. Family, two girls--one three months, the other three years old. The Strongs had just paid for their house. Mrs. Strong showed great presence of mind. She got her certificate of insurance and other papers, also her jewellery and put them into a small suitcase. She [to] too, heard the alarm of a second explosion, and started to run, [leavin] leaving her suitcase under a tree, where it was found intact by her husband on Friday December 7th. She picked up a five-year old girl and took them all to Camp Hill. Mrs. F. Palmer found them and took them all to 15 Carleton St.. They have since gone to Pereau. Strong did [no] not find his family until Friday. After Mrs. Strong had her wounds dressed, she helped to attend to the other patients. "So much worse around her". Mrs. [Palemer] Palmer found her on the 6th. Was helped by an American Red Cross man, who sat on the radiator and held the baby for half an hour. Marjorie could not be moved. Mrs. Palmer's aunt Mrs. W. L. Archibald was in Halifax and worked constantly with the injured Strong baby from Thursday till Saturday afternoon, when she went home.
