Lunenburg-sur-mer

The only way to describe this house is 'late Victorian eclectic'. It should date from the 1890s and indeed there is a Victorian structure on the site in 1893, with entrance off Lawrence. The earlier house may have been incorporated into this present structure. Who built the original is unknown, but grocer J. Stedman Berringer later altered and enlarged it, moving the entrance to Duke Street.
