The first two volumes were compiled by David Henry; the third and fourth by another hand; to which, in 1775, Mr. Henry added a fifth, containing Capt. Cook's voyage in the Resolution; and in 1786, a sixth, containing the last voyage of Capt. Cook--Halkett and Laing III 46. The two last are usually not included in the set. Title of v. 3-4 lacks subtitle: To which is added, an appendix ... Collation: [2], l, [6], 480 pages, [16] leaves of plates v. 1 -- [2], 440 pages, [9] leaves of plates v. 2 -- viii, 470 pages, [18] leaves of plates 2 folded v. 3 -- [2], 364 [i.e. 356], [4], xxviii, [29]-118, [2] pages, [7] leaves of plates 2 folded v. 4.
