Part V report. Study of total land use, building conditions, and conditions of municipal services in Liverpool, Sydney Mines, Springhill, New Glascow, Stellarton, Amherst, Pictou, and Halifax. In each selected community a representative area was designated, mainly residential, with a large portion of fair to poor housing except in Halifax where area selected contained some of the city's poorer housing. Data was used to determine future building programs and designate areas for new federal programs such as Neighbourhood Improvement and Rehab. Aspects studied included housing, community facilities, municipal services, and population.
