Nova Scotia Museum Artifacts from International Exhibitions

This bronze medal was awarded for furniture design and native woods to Halifax based cabinet makers, McEwan & Reid,  at the London International Exhibition, in 1862. Their entry included an elaborately carved chair, as well as sofas and a cabinet, all made of Nova Scotian wood.
