     At a Council held at the Honourable Lawrence Armstrong's house in His Majestys Garrison of Annapolis Royall on fryday the 26th of Augt 1732 at 5 P. M. Present [312]

     His Honr Acquainted the Board y.t he had been Considering how the Settling of this Province, which he had much at heart might be promoted and forwarded; And that therefor had Order'd An Advertisement for that purpose to be prepar'd to Lay before them for their Consideration, And Advice whether he should not Cause the same to be published in the New England News Papers in Order to Draw some Protestant Subjects from thence or Elsewhere to settle in some parts of this Govern mt Which being Read & Considered, It was approved of And Agreed that the same should be published

     His Honouralso Acquainted the Board That Some of the Deputees of the ffrench Inhabitants had Complaind to him of the hardships they Sufferd in Attending the Service of the Government and the particular Affairs of the Said Inhabitants And Desiring a New Election that others may take their Turn in ye Execution of that Duty; that he had therefore Directed An Order for that purpose as also in Relation to the ffrench [313] French half Bushll Conformable to the Minute of Council the 27th July Last, to be prepared for their Advice and Opinion thereon; And the same being Order'd to be Read, it was with some Amendments Approved of And Orderd to be Translated into french and then to be published; And also that An Order of the same Nature Should be sent into the Several Other Districts of this Province
