as in ye Time of ye French Governmt it became necessary to make ye Best Discovery of their Scituation at yt time as to what Homage & Duties they pd to ye Crown. And that he intended to make use of one Alexr Bourg for that Purpose who was likely to give ye best Lights into that affair as being reputed to be one of ye Best understanding among them & had bore ye Office of Procurator Genl to ye King under ye late Governm.t Approv'd nemine Contrad. Adjourn'd.

The Secretary acquainted ye Board, that his Excellcy had orderd'd him to inform them, that he desir'd they wou'd Consider of some probable methods to provide against to ye transporting yearly great Numbers of numbers of Live Cattle & Considerable Quantitys of other provisions, to ye neighbouring Settlements wch prov'd of very ill Consequence to this his Majesties Province, as also what methods cou'd be taken for ye Procuring & keeping & Currency of money in this Governmt and that a Scheme might be drawn up forthwith for that purpose to be presented to his Excellcy for his approbation [6]
