desired a dayes time to consider & answer. That his Excellency had just receiu'd the same & directed to be put in writeing by the Interpreter, which was deliverd in.

Read & Advised on. [16] Agreed & Orderd That an answer thereto Article by article be drawn up by a Committee of Council That the Hon:.ble Liev.t Governor, Major Lawrence Armstrong, Major Paul Mascarene & John Adams Esq be the said Comittee. It is further advised it would be for his Majestys service that there be a present made to said Indians at their being dismist. That the said Presents Charges of sending for them, maintaining them here, and returning them back to S.t Johns River be at the Goverment's Costs.
