The Honourable Presid.t Acquainted the Board that there were three french Strangers Come (as they Say) from Canada, and having no Passport from the Governor of that Place, or any Credentialls but from the Bishop there signiying that they had Duely frequented the Communion of that Church, And the Said three Strangers having Reported that they were Gentlemen belonging to Old france and had killed &Aelig; neas and another Indian [143] Indian And that they were Come here for Refuge he Asked the Oppinion of the Board what he Should Do in this ease; Beleiving them Rather come as Spies in Order to Discover either the State of the Town and Garrison or to Entice the Desertion of the Troops
