Mr. Weisz was travelling back to Montreal with his wife Mathilde. The thirty-three-year-old Hungarian-born Jewish stonecutter had $30,000 in currency sewn into the lining of his suit and was carrying another $15,000 in gold bullion stashed in his pockets. Mr. Weisz's body was forwarded to Montreal for burial.
