'A Vision of Regeneration'

Wooden houses under construction, 18 and 42 Livingstone Street, Halifax

These houses were erected by the Halifax Relief Commission, Reconstruction Department. Albert Crawley, car cleaner, resided at 42 (now 5874) Livingstone and Marshall White, rigger at Halifax shipyards, lived at 18 (now 5680) Livingstone according to McAlpine's Halifax City Directory for 1919. The house at 18 Livingston was built originally for Prince Breakspear.
