David Easson (son of William) was apprenticed to Frederick Buchler [Buckler], cordwainer. Buchler was to teach David the trade until 1813 when the boy turned twenty-one. During this time, David was not to be wasteful, disobediant, get married, or gamble. Buchler was also to provide food, clothing, lodging, schooling and a set of tools. This indenture was signed by David's guardian, Benjamin Fairn and witnessed by David Fleet and David Easson.
