Riarson & Harris & in fact to all my friends about the country
— I shall always remember them with kindness and were it
my lot tomorrow to be disabled from his serving his Majesty
I would without a moments hesitation endeavour to see
you all as soon as possible — I am almost afraid to ask
after your mother but if she is still with you remember me
to her and to Mrs Eason particularly —
wishing you every happiness & success in this life
and the next believe me very sincerely yours
Jno. C Carter
