crust comes on the snow, and then you shall see
me as willing as ever to go after a moose —
how is your Mother, I hope sincerely she is well — I
had a letter from Mr Millidge some time ago who tells
me your mother was good enough to speak kindly
of me, give her my best respects and my thanks
for her kindness as I esteem the good opinion of
so good & so old a lady more than I can now
say — Your own Mrs Eason I hope is very well
remember me to her & to the young ladies all,
I hope Harry & David are both well, tell them
I expect to see them out moosehunting next
Spring — Mr Fearon & his family I hope are well
To them also I beg to be remembered — How is Miss
Hardwicke — I hope she's well — let me know about
her — her friends I liked much particularly the
Creek family Henry Hardwicke, for all of whom
I have many good wishes — in truth my dear
Eason I don't know any about your neighbourhood
that I have not met with in friendship & in kindness
and am obliged to them for it — How is your
