Letter, Edward Winslow, Fredericton, to David Easson

Mr. Wylly has asked him to settle the disagreement between Easson and Major Murray [presumably regarding outstanding debt], which he will endeavour to do. this Land and I have had a conversation
with Col. Allen & Capt. Lee respecting it. they
say that ‘tis worth five guineas, but rather
than not have it I would go as far as
twentyfive dollars & no farther. If you
can promise a deed of it and will forward
it to me, Mr. Byles in the city of Saint
John will answer your Bill for that
sum whenever you will forward the
deed. Or if that mode of payment will
not answer. I will by this conveyance
request Mr. Williams to advance the money
for me. I have inclosed a deed which you
will have the goodness to see executed for
me & Let it be acknowledged in form before
Mr. Williams I request that this business
may be settled as expeditiously as possible
& I shall consider myself under very great
obligations to you if it can be accomplished.
