Mr David Easson           London 19th
          March 1772
          Sir
          This serves to acquaint you
that my Ship, Adamson Master from
your Place Arrived here about the 16th Ult
all well, but find you did not complete
your contract, which says you are to deliver
the Timber, at your risque & Costs, on the
Contrary the People were Obliged to go into
the Woods for some Timber to Load the Ship
which detained her Six Weeks or two Months, &
for which expect satisfaction. —
          Capt. Adamson being blown from the
Coast could not possibly put in to Halifax,
am now to beg you’ll assist Lord Campbell
in procurring the Certificate & remit me as
soon as possible. ———
