Sir
I wrote you per Capt Lewis & Commerin
respecting the Insurance Mr Mauger was to have Got
made for you on the Sloop Wren which I doubt not
hath in this reached your hands, I confirm what I then
wrote on that Subject & think it would be best for you
to make up matters among yourselfs. I am glad to
find by your Favour of the 16 May that you had rec’d
the Goods Shipped you last Fall per Capt. Bruce the 20m
needles you found among them more than what was
ordered were designed for Mr Rufus Greene of Boston,
but by the Carelessness of my Packer packed with your
Goods by mistake they cost me 3/6 per m in all £3.10
for which I shall make your account debitted if no Loss
thereon, but if there should be any must bear it
myself & will only charge you with what you Can
make of them when you advise they’re being sold;
The bill you sent me of £50 on Mrs Margaret Kensie
is accepted & when paid shall be passed to your Credit.
The Goods you have wrote for I now send Mr Austin
by the bearer Capt. Trout & now enclose Invoice of the
Cost thereof amount to £44.17.2 which I have Charge
to your Debit of which the same to arrive in safety & to
