I take this Opportunity to Inclose to yom Honr a a [sic] Coppy of my Instructions Reced from his Excellency Govr Shirley and to acquaint you that agreeable thereto I am now under the Command of Colo Monckton, Commander in Chief of ye Expedition and that the two Battallions Consist of about 1950 Men, officers Included, Now on Board the Transportes, and that the Men in General in Good Health & Spirits and all wish to be at Land Exspect to-morrow will be the Day, have Taken this Oppertunity from the Ship to pay My Duty to your Honr as, I Expect our First Landing will be a
