The Almon family fonds includes correspondence, ledgers, a scrapbook started by the Hon. William Johnston Almon and continued by his granddaughter Susanna W.A. Almon, and a file of loose recipes. Most recipes are hand written but a number were clipped from newspapers. One clipping is dated Truth, 28 November 1889, and a small hand written "Receipt Book" is dated 26 September 1877. Pommes Pomponnees and Friars' Fritters were submitted by Madge (probably to "Truth" because another clipping by Madge appeared in this paper, 1889.)
